In 2024 Kate had the opportunity to show her work in Los Angeles at the respected MorYork Gallery in Highland Park. Haute Couture Porcelain was an exploration of porcelain and textile in a series of ceramic pieces and photographic images in this fantastic space.

“Haute couture is bespoke, one of a kind. The same is true of Kate Vereker’s work with each piece being unique, she manipulates both mediums to co-exist and produces something new to live on in porcelain.

Textiles hold the memories of our lives. Kate strives to preserve and memorialize a person, time and place via treasured fabrics. Every stitch, warp, weft and detail get picked up by the porcelain, giving a different texture depending on the nature or age of the fabric.

The past becomes the future.”
